TAXFREE FAQ
Tax-free shopping / VAT refunds for private persons
What is tax-free shopping?
On most of your purchases, an average of 25 percent value added tax (VAT) is included in the purchase price.
If you shop online and have your goods delivered to your home address outside the EU, you are eligible to claim back the VAT. Use your non-EU address as the billing address and then register your invoice via the vatfree.com app or website to claim back the VAT.
If you shop in our store, or online and delivered to a EU-address, you are also eligible for a VAT refund. You will need to export the goods in your travel luggage to a country outside the EU. We partner with vatfree.com to provide you this service.
Create an account at www.vatfree.com or download the app for ios and android, and take these three steps to claim your VAT:
When shopping in our store:
Scan the QR code in store to start your tax-free application.
When shopping online and having the goods delivered to an address in the EU:
Use your non-EU address as the billing address. Use the EU address where you are staying as the delivery address. Register your invoice via the vatfree.com app or website.
Before leaving the EU, at the airport or border, visit Customs for an export validation stamp. You will need to have the invoice and the emailed taxfree form printed.
Show your goods, passport and documents to have these validated with a (digital) customs stamp.
Upload a photo of your stamped receipt with the vatfree.com app or via the website www.vatfree.com. Your VAT refund will then be processed.
Vatfree.com will take care of your refund and will keep you posted via email or app notifications. Learn more at www.vatfree.com or call +31 88 828 37 33.
Please note: Only invoices that meet the minimum purchase amount are eligible for a VAT reimbursement. In Sweden the minimum amount per purchase receipt is 200 SEK/kr.
